Terms and conditions

These are the terms you agree to by using Gully Cricket. They are written to be read rather than to be impressive — if a line here is unclear, tell us and we will fix the wording rather than hide behind it.

Last updated 2 October 2026.

Who you are agreeing with

[the operator of Gully Cricket] runs Gully Cricket. Everything below is between you and them, and hello@gullycricket.app reaches a person who answers.

What this is

A club app: fixtures, who is available, live scoring, and the numbers afterwards. It is a tool for running a side, not an official. Nothing here makes us responsible for how a club treats its members, who a captain selects, or what a scorer types into the book.

Your account

  • One account each, under the name your club knows you by. A squad list is no use if nobody can tell who is on it.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done with your account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you think somebody else has got into it.
  • You need to be 13 or over to hold your own account. Younger than that, a parent or guardian holds it and agrees these terms for you.

What you may not do

  • Put nothing on here you would not say to somebody's face. Abuse, harassment and slurs close an account, and a club chat is not an exception.
  • Upload only what is yours to upload. Photos, crests, kit designs and club names belong to somebody, and that somebody is sometimes not you.
  • Do not go after data that is not yours — another club's squad, another person's contact details, the API behind somebody else's token.
  • No spamming, no scraping, and nothing automated against the service that we have not agreed to. A club that wants a feed can ask for one.

What you put on here

Your photos, your scorecards and your messages stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people you shared them with, and nothing beyond that: we do not sell them, and we do not train anything on them.

A scorecard is a shared record. Once a match is scored the other side's players are on it too, and it stays on the record after you leave — under no name, if you have deleted your account.

Clubs and your data

A club you join sees what you gave it: whether you are available, the contact details you added, and how you have played for it. Leaving the club stops that.

What we hold, for how long, and how to get it back or get rid of it is all in the privacy policy: Privacy.

Paying

The app itself is free to a club. Where money moves through it — match fees, tickets, the shop — that payment is between the club and whoever is paying: the club sets the price, the club decides a refund, and Stripe carries the money.

We never see your card. Stripe holds those details, and we hold nothing more than a record that a payment happened.

When things break

Nobody can promise a ground has signal. The app scores offline and syncs when it can, which is the best anyone can do about it — it is not a guarantee, and a match that matters deserves a paper book alongside.

We can change features, and we can stop them. If we stop something a club depends on we will say so first, and you can take your data with you.

Ending it

Delete your account whenever you like, from your profile. It takes your name, your contact details, your picture and your player profile with it: Delete your account.

We can close an account that breaks these terms. Where we can do it safely, we will tell you why before we do.

What we are not liable for

The service comes as it is. We are not liable for a missed fixture, a lost match, a total that came out wrong, or a decision a club took from something it read here. Nothing in these terms cuts down liability the law does not let us cut down — injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

Which law applies

These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales], and its courts hear any dispute. If you are a consumer somewhere else, you keep whatever rights your own country gives you.

Changes to these terms

When these change in a way that matters to you, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using the service afterwards is how you accept the new version.
